The SCOTUS ruled that it’s too close to the election to make changes. They basically handed the Republicans the victory and shut the door behind them. Anyone who . makes changes going forward will have their changes ruled too disruptive as they’re too close to the election.

There’s policies 80+% of Americans have wanted for decades. Simple shit like legal weed (chemists got around it, the BBB banned that) and big shit like single payer healthcare.
