    I would love to get this “bad” card… "Oh no, a broken wire… the world is doomed… we must reinvent physics… chemistry… copper technology… the bronze age! We have lost our jumper wire connecting technology!

    What a crap article about the ineptitude of a repair tech. Is it going to be pretty? No. When I repair and paint your car after you crashed it, don’t look inside the panels after removing the interior cards. No one cares about the inside. Any fools that react emotionally without fundamental logical skills and depth, the bill for doing so will only cost you another zero to the end of the bill. I will be happy to do that work too. I simply know you are more of a miser than that.

    If I was doing repairs like this, I would clearly state that if there are problems like this, I will bodge something together that may not be pretty but will work. Even if it is a high speed bus with shielding and matched pairs, one can order a custom flex board/cable and spin it up in KiCAD, or just direct solder the original cable if the pin pitch matches.

    Still I bet there are a hundred small shops in Shenzhen and Hong Kong with these connectors sitting in a box somewhere.
