New left-wing party Your Party co-leader, Zarah Sultana, has confirmed that she will be dealing with the ongoing situation surrounding MOU Operations and the £800,000 the company currently holds. The Canary has learned that she will be transferring at least £200,000 to Your Party in the next two days, as it prepares to host its first conference in Liverpool. This is despite sources from within Your Party still actively briefing against her.

Zarah Sultana: the money from MOU Operation is coming

As the Canary has documented, MOU Operations was originally set up by Jamie Driscoll, Beth Winter, and Andrew Feinstein. It was the first company formed around what is now Your Party, back in April 2025. However, since then, there have been ongoing disputes between it and Jeremy Corbyn’s team in Your Party over finances and data.

Crucially, there have been disagreements over membership and donation money, which currently sits in MOU Operations’ bank account.

Most recently, Your Party and MOU Operations had very public falling outs, with the latter’s directors all resigning and handing control to Zarah Sultana. Now, it seems she is acting to ensure that Your Party has the funds. To be clear, Sultana says she is determined to make this happen to ensure the conference can go ahead as planned.

Ongoing issues?

The Canary has been told that Zarah Sultana is still having issues with working within Your Party’s structure. For example, some members of the Your Party team have not given her access to documents such as its constitution and financial scheme. She needs these to conduct due diligence. This has left her having to go to the Electoral Commission for them.

Also, she is still trying to get other MPs involved in Your Party to take on directorships of MOU Operations. This would make the process of transferring funds and data over easier. But again, those within Your Party have not been forthcoming.

A spokesperson for Zarah Sultana told the Canary:

Zarah is working to transfer all funds and data held by MOU Operations Ltd to Your Party. As sole director, she is legally responsible for ensuring the company’s costs, liabilities and expenses are settled, and this process may take some time.

To ensure funds are available for the founding conference, she will transfer £600k in tranches over the next couple of weeks. The first £200k is scheduled to be sent 12 November. All remaining funds will be transferred once the company’s costs, expenses and liabilities are settled in full.

Your Party says…

A Your Party spokesperson told Sky News:

We are completely focused on putting together a successful founding conference for our members, so they can democratically decide Your Party’s structures and programme, and Britain can get the socialist alternative it so badly needs. Hundreds of volunteers are working tirelessly on a shoestring budget to make this a reality, a testament to the grassroots power of our mass movement.

Outlining democracy, the Zarah Sultana vision

Recently, Zarah Sultana outlined her vision for ‘maximum democracy’ in Your Party.

Her proposals include:

People’s Whip. Conference is the supreme sovereign, democratic body of the party. Decisions should be binding on elected representatives at all levels. Future conferences should have delegates elected by all member meetings.Executive of members not MPs. CEC positions must all be ordinary positions that everyone can contest (not reserved for MPs) to ensure after conference the leadership is democratic and accountable. The timetable must be brought forward to hold elections by the end of the year.Youth Section must be the engine of the Party. A formal youth section must be established.Only members should decide who represents them. Open Selection, Mandatory Reselection, and Right to Recall. We cannot have a Labour Party 2.0, no backroom deals, no fiefdoms, no coronations.Alternative leadership models must be voted on. Members should decide leadership structure, not MPs. As well as sole leader, this may be either co-leadership or collective leadership, to be decided at conference.Full transparency and accountability. Independent oversight of sortition for this conference and for all internal elections; internal audit of funds spent and a treasurer elected by One Member One Vote (OMOV).

With conference coming up, we’ll see if Sultana’s vision is allowed to become a reality. However, given the fact that ‘insiders’ from Your Party have been briefing against her again in recent days (despite what seem to be Sultana’s best efforts to clean up this mess) – it’s unclear whether that will happen.
