By Ronda Cooperstein, Co-Coordinator of the WBW Baltimore Chapter, November 19, 2025
On Saturday, November 15th, the Baltimore Chapter of World BEYOND War hosted a meeting with Nimala Kharoufeh, a Palestinian healer and educator from Beit Jala, and Noa Harell, a former Israeli soldier turned peace activist, two members of Combatants for Peace who are currently touring the United States to spread their message of struggling for justice through nonviolence.
Both have lived through war and rising violence, and both now stand at the forefront of our joint movement for nonviolent co-resistance and co-creation. They spoke to a group of around 35 people who listened intently to their message, and some expressed the desire to support the organization by forming an American Friends of Combatants for Peace chapter in Baltimore.
The World BEYOND War chapter here will be actively involved in getting the chapter off the ground in the weeks ahead. All are welcome to join us as we move forward.
