The fucking iguanas are the worst down there. They’ve destroyed so many of the local flowering plants. Moreover, there are things called curly-tailed lizards that have been eating all of the scorpions which were a primary food source for local owls… All this because assholes in Miami thought it was cool to have a strange lizard or some parent felt like exposing their their child to something new and interesting but didn’t understand the implications of importing a snake from a different part of the world.

All of this shit is idiotic. Tomorrow I fly home from Seattle to the Florida Keys via Miami. One of our yearly post-thanksgiving pass-times is to pop iguanas with a high powered pellet gun. Wish me luck.
