Sheinbaum Announces Celebration for 7 Years of the Transformation
President Claudia Sheinbaum announced a national celebration for the seven-year anniversary of the Fourth Transformation (4T), highlighting achievements such as record foreign investment, the upcoming largest supercomputer in Latin America, more scholarships and universities, a record high minimum wage, and a proven reduction in poverty with economic stability.
She said that Mexico is experiencing “a different moment” and reiterated that the minimum wage will continue to increase.
Mexico Breaks Investment Records and Strengthens Economic Leadership
Minister of Economy Marcelo Ebrard reported that the Mexican economy grew 15% and that foreign investment for the last quarter of 2025 will also rise 15%, reaching US$41 billion, with new investments increasing from US$2 billion to US$6.5 billion. Since 2018, foreign direct investment has grown 69%, and exports rose 48% between 2020 and 2024, despite tariffs.
PAN Behind the November 15 March Promoters: Sheinbaum Supports Exposes
The President said that information linking the PAN to the hiring of one of the organizers of the November 15 march is relevant, as it helps explain the actions of the “Black Bloc”, a group that instigates violence and attacks on police during demonstrations.
Sheinbaum urged the media to analyze the findings and said that attacks against the police must be investigated. She reiterated that there was no repression or persecution, and that any police misconduct will be punished, but a violent group was indeed present and must be identified.
APEC 2028: Mexico as a Global Bridge Under Sheinbaum
The President announced that Mexico was unanimously chosen to host APEC 2028, a forum representing 61% of global GDP, reinforcing the nation’s role as a bridge between the Americas and Asia.
Ebrard noted that the decision reflects international confidence and growth in sectors such as data centers, energy, infrastructure, and finance, with the United States as the main source of investment.
Mexico Advances Toward Technological Sovereignty: Supercomputing, AI, and Science
Sheinbaum signed an agreement with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center to create the Mexican Supercomputing Center, scheduled to begin in 2026, enabling the construction of the largest supercomputer in Latin America. This infrastructure will support climate modeling, large-scale data analysis, precision agriculture, and AI language models.
Sheinbaum Highlights Financial Sector’s Economic Optimism
The President pointed to a report in which Banamex stated that Mexico is in a period “full of possibilities” for growth, and noted that various banks share a highly favorable economic outlook for the country.
