    What horseshit. Not sure how Canadian law works, but I hope he’s able to appeal higher.

    Zero hard evidence. None. Literally all circumstantial. “Hmm, all this money is in 20’s, which are usually used for drug deals. I also see you didn’t file taxes for a couple years. Therefore this money must be drug money and you have no right to it.”

    Fuck. Off. It doesn’t even matter if it probably was drug money, the law shouldn’t work off of “probably”. It works off of evidence proving things beyond reasonable doubt. If the government can not prove 100% that you don’t have the right to money you, yourself, stored on your own property, then you should be able to keep your money. You don’t need to explain how it got there and you don’t need to explain where it came from, because it’s none of the government’s God damn business.
