    And frankly… fine? Statistical modeling of published works is not piracy. Not that piracy itself is the end of the world. Anyone still shocked by this new development is being sincere but not serious. No more than the 6th Earl of Craven denouncing Lady Chatterley’s Lover via the horrors of people reading while eating, or crown prosecutor Mervyn Griffith-Jones asking if you’d let your servants read it. Surprise! The stuff anyone can see, can be saved. Like on Archive.org? That corpus of banter is not more protected by copyright than any book in the library, and extracting knowledge from library books is what they’re for.
