It finally happened! After dating for one year (ish?) Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson are officially getting married.

This is certainly the biggest engagement news of the year (for people who get all their news from Truth Social and “HATE TAYLOR SWIFT”). And the announcement could not have been more magically MAGA-y. On Monday night, President Trump revealed that his eldest son is getting married again during a White House Christmas reception. Then far-right influencer Laura Loomer posted a video of the president’s proclamation on X.

“They get along very well, and they are just announcing through me that they’re getting married,” President Trump said.

He invited the happy couple to the lectern, and Don Jr. made a sweet reference to his passion for delivering political tirades.

“I’m not usually at a loss for words because I’m usually doing the ranting and raving really well,” Don Jr. said. “I want to thank Bettina for that one word: ‘yes.’”

Anderson added, “This has been the most unforgettable weekend. I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”

The First Son was previously married to Vanessa Trump, with whom he shares five children. Anderson, a Palm Beach socialite, has never been married and does not have children.

Don Jr., 47, and Anderson, 39, have been together for … a year? Eighteen months? As People recapped, it’s still unclear when Don Jr. ended his relationship with Kimberly Guilfoyle, his previous fiancée of four years:

In 2018, Donald Jr. began dating Kimberly Guilfoyle. They were engaged in 2020. Despite never officially announcing their split, PEOPLE learned in December 2024 that he and Anderson had been dating for about six months.

Donald Jr. and Anderson were first spotted on a brunch date in August 2024, per photos obtained by the Daily Mail. At the time, he was still engaged to Guilfoyle.

In September 2024, sources told PEOPLE that Trump and Guilfoyle were allegedly spending some time apart, and they reportedly split in December 2024. Soon after, Trump nominated Guilfoyle to serve as the U.S. ambassador to Greece.
