“. These mature trees are at high risk of forest fires and store carbon less efficiently than younger trees.” My understanding is that this was disproven. Mature trees continue to sink carbon, and at a faster rate than younger trees.

We’re way too far up the hockey stick for something like this to save us.
They would need to also build a time machine and start sinking these billions of tons of carbon all the way back in the 70’s for it to be even remotely effective now.
