The current owners don’t care. This isn’t about ratings. This is about spewing propaganda and removing independent voices from the airwaves and streaming channels. They will subsidize this programming with myPillow commercials or operate at a loss if they have to.
Just remember, when content like CBS News is all that’s available, you don’t have to watch it or subscribe to it or pay for it just because it’s the only thing on. Just turn it off.
