Who is he going to bring in and from where? The red states? I guess we’ll have to see how this plays out, it’s already in action.
The military. Trump has already threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act against protestors, and the article states that 1,500 soldiers at a base in Fairbanks, Alaska, are on standby to be called in to Minneapolis. It remains to be seen how much of the military will follow obviously illegal orders, but I’m not overly optimistic.
heard on the radio today the alaska cold weather unit has been put into some status to prepare for deployment.
I didn’t know they had the standby soldiers, and I’m not super happy about asking 19 year olds who were trained to follow orders, deciding what is legal or not. It’s really another shitty thing trump has placed on their shoulders.
