Does anyone remember all the theatrical bs from the Bush administration? Those ghouls should have been locked up for all their lying but the centrist Democrats had too many licking boots as well.
I’ll never forget what Obama said after he took office and we had a chance to hold the Bush admin war criminals accountable: we need to “look forward, not backward” on torture.
Americans were operating the Abu Ghraib torture facility (among many others) 2 years into his presidency, and didn’t relinquish control to the Iraqis until 2010. Guantanamo Bay torture facility operated through his entire presidency, and in fact is still in operation today.
That behavior from centrists and cowards has emboldened political criminals. Every corrupt politician and government should be locked up at double or triple the sentence for violating the public trust.
Instead they are allowed to treat business executives as too big to jail just as they are forgiven for destroying our democracy and wasting our money.
