A peaceful solution through a general strike is still possible, but probably not for much longer.

Prove me wrong, but I doubt it. There are significant capitalist-endemic issues and a pervasive laissez-faire attitude that I think inhibits it.

ICE mafia, this administration, all of the GOP, majority of Dems, billionaires, etc…until they legitimately fear for their life each and every day they wake up - each and every moment they make a decision - things will not change. They need to fear going the way of the UHC guy every moment of every day, or things will stay the same.

I would be happy and glad to be proven wrong.

History provides many examples of peoples who have shaken off oppression largely without resorting to violence: one of the most prominent examples is India, which freed itself from brutal British oppression largely through mass civil resistance - and this was a colonial regime of violence that the British had established there.

What I mean, however, is that there is currently only comparatively mild repression in the US, but that will change, which the regime is obviously working on.

In short: now or never, seems to me to be the motto. Now would also be the right time in terms of public sentiment, because people are angry.

Nevertheless, I cannot say how likely it is that US citizens will use the time they have left – probably not very likely, but it is certainly possible.
