“…towels are the most frequently stolen at hotels, with nearly 90% of those surveyed saying they often are missing after someone leaves a room.
Other commonly stolen items include bathrobes, which 66% of hotel staff said they’ve discovered missing, followed by hangers, toiletries, and blankets. Pillows, pens, and remote controls often turn up missing as well.”

The hero we need
While I’ll agree that it’s not cool to steal towels or robes, do you really think I wanna go to a hotel only to find the little tiny soap and shampoo and stuff half used, if not outright empty, from the previous occupant?
Fuck no, those things should rightfully be considered part of the package, as it’s basically only enough for one or two people anyways. So yeah, I’ve been known to ‘steal’ the tiny soap, shampoo, and conditioner before, I’ve got a small collection over the years.
Think about it, isn’t it kinda nasty and even negligent of hotel staff to expect the next occupant to use your half used tiny soap and shampoo and stuff? Fuck that, taking the consumable items only helps keep the hotel staff on their toes and properly prepare the room for the next occupant after you leave.
Yeah, Im taking the lotion with me. Usually when I travel its cold and I use it while around town for my dry hands.
