They’re not failing. They’re bought and paid for by Conservative billionaires. They’re doing exactly what they’ve been told to do by the ones in charge.
Absolutely, every democracy needs laws stopping billionaires from controlling media. News sources need better laws around the info they deliver.

No fucking shit they’re failing. Every white house interview should be filled with them calling out the dipshit’s lies to their faces, in as many words. And when they try to insult reporters they should insult them right back and tell them that the reason they are attacking the reporter is because they can’t even come up with a lie fast enough because they aren’t that smart. Otherwise they’d know that the reporters are asking because Americans are asking.
Corporate media has been “failing” since at least the lead-up to the 2016 election. And before that too, but definitely that’s where it became obvious that they are not there to be honest arbiters of truth.
