Hi, all, and happy Friday.
No full newsletter today out of respect for the general strike.
There is a LOT happening right now. Like, even by current standards, a lot. We’ve got a massive Epstein Files drop, four newly arrested journalists, continuing ICE raids—especially here in LA—and, to top off the awfulness, I just heard that Catherine O’Hara has died. It’s a really important time to get in community, so I hope lots of you will be joining local protests today. I’ll be in Downtown LA at 1PM—I trust I’ll see some of you there.
This is hard. It’s unprecedented. It’s exhausting. But we the people are rising while Trump’s regime is fracturing and falling back on its heels. All we can do is keep going, keep inviting friends in, and trust that a nonviolent, massive people-powered movement is the one thing that can, repeatedly has, and will defeat fascists.
I love you, folks. Never forget there are SO MANY more of us than there are of them.
See you in the streets!
Talk soon.
Jess
