Fuck the DOW, fuck the stupid fucking stock market, hope it all burns.
I still have no idea how the stock market, a bunch of imaginary numbers, has such an impact. Bunch of rich people betting on what company will do well, what will fail, what new technology will be the next big thing. I fail to see how legalized gambling ends the economy.

Agreed, I think it’s gone far far away from it’s original intention, especially with the advent of computers that can do these microtransactions so fast. I can’t even imagine how much insider trading is going on right now too. I still maintain it was a huge mistake tying everyone’s retirement to the stock market (401k), now everyone HAS to be involved, yeah you can opt out but you’re not going to have enough for retirement (probably won’t anyways now). Giant scam.
As long as the DOW stays over 50,000 americans can exhibit “The Purge” like behaviour. If it drops below 50,000 then all americans work together in glorious harmony to protect the money.
