Dr Fauziah Mohd Hasan is a 68-year old consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She graduated from the University of Tasmania, Australia in 1982 and was awarded fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, United Kingdom. (FRCOG, UK) in 2003.

Her involvement with medical humanitarian missions started in 1999 which included those to Kosovo, the Moluccas Islands, Acheh after the tsunami, Afghanistan, Gaza, Syria and Bangladesh (Cox Bazar in November 2017). In September 2016, she was the doctor on the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) Women’s Boat to Gaza with the aim to break the blockade of Gaza. Since then she has been included in the FFC steering committee. She was also on part of the Al Awda voyage to Gaza in 2018.She is the advisor of Rose2Rose, an agency established under Humanitarian Care Malaysia (MyCARE), which focuses on women empowerment and children education especially those affected by conflicts. Rose2Rose has established six women centres all over the world, namely in Gaza, Syria, Turkey and in Malaysia. In June 2025, she was appointed as the president of Asia Pacific Women Coalition for Al Quds and Palestine, a regional women coalition with the objectives of amplifying and unifying the regional women’s action and voices for Palestine.

In 2014, she received the International Activist of the Year Award from the International Coalition for Palestine and Jerusalem. In October 2016, she was awarded “Khaulah Al Azwar” as Malaysia’s representative on Women’s Boat to Gaza by the Terengganu state of Malaysia. The 2017 Islamic NGO Leader Award (Ladies Category) was awarded to her in August, by the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
