This is the problem with “status quo”: it makes one blind to actuality.
It isn’t the US that is addicted to wars, it is male US presidents who are, & there simply haven’t been enough female US presidents to get a baseline for them, obviously!
Identify that in male-culture such macho assertions-of-authority increase one’s male-culture “status”, & that that is significant in world-history … not just in the US of A.
It’s a significant thing, one’s gender-culture.
