Jose has travelled with his camera, film camera and video camera to more than a hundred countries and has witnessed five armed conflicts (Lebanon, Nicaragua, Western Sahara, Mozambique and Afghanistan). He has been a professor and multidisciplinary researcher (art, aesthetics, communication, film, television, journalism, photography, history and literature) at five Spanish universities and has taught courses, seminars and conferences at universities in Europe, Africa and America.

Jose has joined this mission as a representative of Rumbo a Gaza, with the conviction that he is carrying out a just action in defence of human rights, and specifically, of the Palestinian population of Gaza. He is sailing to break the illegal blockade, denounce the ongoing genocide and the occupation of Palestine exercised for decades by Israel.
