    Joke assize, I don’t see this as such a huge deal as they make it… Maybe I have missed something

    Sure it’s a lot of gold but the value is maybe $160mil. I’d have assumed that this quantity of gold was transported between countries regularly

    This one ton of gold is worth less than Kristi Norm paid for her ad campaign

    Edit: I did som digging and it seems that the US imports a lot of gold every year. 220.000 kg in 2024 and 250.000 kg in 2023. So the 1.000kg from Venezuela isn’t really substantial
