Until the 1980s, an annual prison rodeo offered a chance for men inside to perform and sell albums. Now we’re making them available to you.

The famous Texas burlesque dancer Candy Barr (born Juanita Dale Slusher) performs with a band of incarcerated musicians, including drummer Morgan White, at the 1968 Texas Prison Rodeo. Barr had previously served three years in the Texas Department of Corrections for marijuana possession.
