    I would hope that the military or marines would be smart enough to understand that this is a really stupid and unethical war and a really really unethical reason to go risk your life, and that they would conscientiously object.

    But experience (9/11, Iraq, etc.) and how soldiers and military personnel behaved during that conflict gives me very little hope.

    They don’t give me the impression that they are very smart.

      I doubt enough will object for it to matter. But this time it doesn’t feel like there has been nearly as successful of a propaganda campaign to convince most Americans that this war is a good idea like with Iraq and Afghanistan.
