Our night of astronomy in Joshua Tree National Park was clouded over (for the most part). But it was beautiful and restorative nonetheless to be in the desert under the night sky. See the photos below, taken by Jill and me with our iPhones.

Apex NC had 16 participants this morning as part of our weekly Defend Democracy Saturday demonstration. In the afternoon, we had a crew out as one of the 23 bridges participating in Engaged Defenders for Democracy Triangle United Bridge Brigade.

Hot day in Kansas City, MO. Over 90 degrees on March 21.
I am with Engaged Defenders for Democracy. We represent one of the 23 bridges as part of the Triangle United Bridge Brigade. Our bridge is in Chapel Hill at the corner of Hwy 54 and 15-501. This was our first day participating and we had 9 participants.
This morning we gathered at the Gorman Road Overpass in Howard County, Maryland. It was part of the Maine-to-Florida effort along I-95 (12 states and 42 locations, all at the same time). Yes, we’re gearing up for NO KINGS III.

Finally a beautiful weather evening for the Bridge Brigade in Grand Rapids, MI. Honks were long, loud, and noticeably more frequent than in the past.
