Previously unthinkable, amazing developments are afoot in the hyper-capitalist terror state that aspires to rule the world. On March 17, el jefe Donald Trump announced in a fit of pique that he might pull the U.S. out of NATO. This would be the single best move he could make – for all the wrong reasons, of course, but hey, nobody’s perfect – amid the chaos of the Ukraine War, where Russia, winning on the battlefield, will dictate terms, because that’s what victors do, and the Iran War, where Tehran is beating the living daylights out of Israel and so’s Hezbollah and Iran has pretty much evicted the U.S. from the Gulf.

There is nothing good to say about NATO; any praise is humbug. What has it done for us lately? Zilch, besides serve as a possible trigger for World War Three should the Euro-lunatics running it decide to send troops to Ukraine. Trump’s threat to leave NATO, despite his motive – rage at NATO’s attack of sanity and refusal to participate in the Iran War – is a breath of fresh air. The only thing I can say about it is Hallelujah. Do it! Do it! Or, as Armchair Warlord tweeted on X months ago, when possibly leaving NATO was bruited about – be still my heart.

But Trump will need all his repulsive dictatorial powers to evict us from NATO’s crappy grasp. That’s because back in 2023, Genocide Joe “Proxy War” Biden signed a law aimed specifically at Trump and one of the few decent things he might do if elected, a bill barring the president from unilaterally exiting NATO without legislative approval. Presumably Biden’s so-called thinking was if Romania bombed Moldova, we wanted in. Under Article 5, that’s exactly what would happen, we’d have no choice. But Biden likely just wanted to make sure we’d be compelled to send in the F-35s (before Iran shot them all down).

Now, three years later, things have changed. NATO, in a rare fit of rationality won’t help the white house Don Corleone with his doomed assault on Iran. Where have all the NATO nincompoops gone? Did they all suddenly grow brains? Or did Vladimir Putin give them brain transplants and now they can think? Whatever happened, let’s have more of it. Lots more. And meantime yes, Trump should ditch this lousy alliance once and for all.

But the Fourth Reich, aka Berlin on the Potomac doesn’t want to take its fist out of the mailed glove called NATO. If Trump actually tries to trash the alliance, expect all hell to break loose. Every bloviating nobody in congress will pile on in outrage: How can anyone expect western hegemony to prevail without NATO? And so forth with other phony concerns, such as how can Kiev be expected to continue its suicidal assaults on Putin’s residences without the tantalizing promise of an eventual invitation into NATO? There are so many bogus benefits from the alliance – think bombing inoffensive Yugoslavia to smithereens, ditto for Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya. Why, NATO even helped convert Libya from the richest country in Africa to a stone-age poorhouse with open-air slave markets.

Clearly the world would be better off without NATO. Fortunately it, like the EU, is currently ruled by imbeciles desperately in need of IQs. Mark Rutte, the NATO chieftain, couldn’t find his way out of a paper bag, while EU bigwig Kaja Kallas recently opined that Operation Barbarossa was a Russian offensive – well, evidently she’s a dimwit, but this, let me repeat, is a good thing.

Morons can only do limited damage, though Emmanuel Macron, no slouch in the overall idiocy sweepstakes, on March 20 had the brazen nerve to seize a Russian ship. He’ll get what he deserves, namely the Russian navy escorting Russian ships through international waters. Putin might even want to consider such escorts for the fuel he’s sending to Cuba. Xi Jinping might want to do the same for the rice he’s sending to Havana. They’re the only two world leaders doing a freakin’ thing for Cuba. I guess we know who has courage – and who the cowards are.

Throughout the interminably long Ukraine War, with every threat of a new Wunderwaffen delivered from Washington to Kiev, Putin took to the airwaves to announce that this would put NATO at war with Russia. Never a good sign. In fact, it’s a miracle we made it through Biden’s so-called presidency without images of bombed, radioactive European, Russian and American cities on those of our TV screens that still worked. Putin was very careful, more careful than Biden, not to proclaim U.S. aggression an existential threat. For had he done so, it would have meant anything goes. Anything as in we all get to die.

Throughout all this unpleasantness, NATO played and still plays a nauseating role. For its nuclear threat vis a vis Russia alone, it would be nice to put NATO in the rearview mirror. Who cares if Trump made his threat to do so while having an infantile temper-tantrum – I say we should seize the bull by the horns and urge him to follow through. What have we got to lose besides the next bombing campaign on some small defenseless country? And while it might not seem nice to punish NATO for the sanity of abstaining form the Iran War psychosis, you gotta take your opportunities when you get ‘em. Another one like this might not come along for a generation. Carpe diem!

Because just imagine if the nitwits running NATO had not suddenly grown brains. Then where would we be? I’ll tell you where: A coalition of the willing headed by Mark Rutte, who hasn’t got a clue which end is up, steaming toward the Persian Gulf amid screeches of alarm over Iranian long-range missiles that can possibly reach Europe and definitely, as we learned March 21, reach Diego Garcia. The Empire is very upset about that. Well, boo-hoo. Don’t go starting fights you aren’t prepared to finish, and in this case, finishing involves Russia and China and their long-range missiles.

If NATO had accepted Trump’s demand to attack Iran, what do you think Russia and China would have done? Sat on their hands? Not likely. NATO ain’t even involved and Moscow’s been helping Tehran with targeting American bases and assets and has assisted in defending Iran with some of its top-of-the-line, super-duper, best in the world air defenses, to wit the latest generation of the world’s best AD, the S-500; while Beijing has unpacked dozens of plane loads of military hardware in Tehran, and passed on satellite data and imaging of U.S. assets and targets to the Iranians.

On March 21 came news that Russia and China are considering beefing up their defensive alliances with Iran. This is all WITHOUT the lousy North Atlantic Treaty Alliance involved. Can you imagine if it were? Kiev’s possible entry into NATO was the cause of the genocide of over two million Slavs in Ukraine, a slaughter Moscow is sure, eventually, to regard as on a continuum of the European murder of Slavs it called Untermenschen, which started with the biggest genocide of World War II, namely 27 to 30 million dead Russians, one million killed defending Stalingrad alone and another million murdered and starved to death in the barbaric Nazi blockade of Leningrad alone. Nikto ne zabyte. Nichevo ne zabyto: No one is forgotten. Nothing is forgotten. You can even read that on the license plates in Moscow. You can be sure the Russians will apply it to what NATO, or the threat of NATO, did in Ukraine.

So we’re really lucky that that tenth-rate alliance is staying out of the Persian Gulf. If it hadn’t, we’d have had the Russians, mad as hornets, in West Asia in a big way. And you don’t want the Russians, when they’re mad as hornets, anywhere near you. And somebody else who’s mad as hornets: the Iranians. On March 21, the new ayatollah gave a speech. He demanded the U.S. leave the Gulf region (it’s already largely been evicted by Iran), lift sanctions and pay reparations. Absent these concessions, Iran, he said, would close the Strait of Hormuz completely, sign defense pacts with Beijing and Moscow and develop a nuclear deterrent. Within hours of this speech, Russia and China “issued statements aligning, carefully but unmistakably with Tehran’s framing,” according to Marwa Osman on X that day. So these three Eurasian behemoths are united. And they’re mad as hornets. Thank God NATO is sitting this one out. Or it could really, fatally sting.
