Hi, all, and happy Tuesday!

Continuing my Spring Break week of mini-editions with a couple of easy, important actions. Hope you’re all hanging in there!

First, ICE is using our DMV data to track protestors. This isn’t getting enough attention, and we need state governors to put a stop to it. They need to hear from you.

Here’s a very easy action item that takes 30 seconds:

  1. Go to this link

  2. Copy/paste the message.

  3. Select your state. It’ll take you to your governor’s contact page.

  4. Paste the message. Edit it however you like. Click send.

And you’re done. Takes 30 seconds.

Second, YouTuber Miss Rachel has gotten deeply involved in the effort to shut down Dilley detention center. She’s launched a Change.org petition to demand that Congress do just that and I’m hoping you’ll all sign! You can do so here.

Finally, here’s a Resistbot letter worth sending. You can do so by texting SIGN PALNBR to 50409.

War crimes?

Not in our name.

Not with our tax dollars.

Congress needs to step up and stop enabling war crimes.

Hegseth has given orders for war crimes and committed war crimes. His “no quarter” order is just one example. The strike against the school in Iran, the two tap hits on small ships in the Caribbean – all are war crimes.

Now Trump is blatantly announcing the intent to commit war crimes:

“If for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately “Open for Business,” we will conclude our lovely “stay” in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet “touched.”

Such language and actions make us all less safe.

Please: Hold Trump and Hegseth accountable.

Do oversight. Impeach and remove Hegseth and Trump.

OK, all. I know this is a short one but the actions here are all important. Please take them and know I’ll be back with more soon.

Thanks for helping to save democracy!

Jess
