They have never been shameful to the shameless. What the “left” doesn’t seem to understand these days is that no amount of calling them out, shouting, or signs with catchy messages will deter them.
Trying to shame the shameless will never work. Never has.
I will say it until I’m blue in the face, the right figured out a while ago that because so much of the system is built on the assumption of good faith that you really can just do things until someone stops you. The mainstream “left” and in my experience “independents” are still struggling to catch up to that reality
