US President Donald Trump has dismissed a claim made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about the illegitimacy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as “posturing”.

Details: A journalist asked Trump about Lavrov’s latest remarks questioning Zelenskyy’s legitimacy.

Quote: “It doesn’t matter what they say. Everybody is posturing. It’s all bulls**t, okay? Everybody is posturing.”

Background: On 24 August, Lavrov claimed that Zelenskyy does not have the legitimacy required to sign legal documents with Russia.
