One of our most popular summer soft fruits could last longer in the fridge thanks to new research conducted at Cranfield University. In Frontiers in Genome Editing, researchers have published a new method to edit the DNA of raspberries, with the goal of creating more sustainable raspberry production and less food waste. The research paper is titled "DNA-free CRISPR genome editing in raspberry (Rubus idaeus) protoplast through RNP-mediated transfection."
