The GOP will go above and beyond to defend pedophiles.
I am at once relieved and shocked that this line didn’t work. I still think it might after they workshop it a bit. I’m not saying it’s a well-reasoned argument; I just have faith in the cognitive dissonance and stupidity of the maga base.
It’s not about the people who check sources and use critical thinking skills, it’s about the people who hear things second hand or from less than reputable news sources and just feel it’s believable. That ~30% that elected him, and continue to support him and the rest of the Republican party will use it as yet another brick in the wall separating them from reality.
