Google ‘double leverage’ where private equity has an asset that is underperforming and they can’t pay out investors and they had taken out additional loans using the assets theoretical value as collateral but turns out the actual value is far less than what they claimed it was and now are selling the asset to themselves as a continuation vehicle and above the actual value to keep the shit going because they can’t exit now especially with interest rates this high the sell price would be significantly lower than the initial investment so it’s a vapour built on a vapour, an Enron of epic proportions and it’s all tied to retirement funds
