I don’t get the draw of a thinner phone. At no point has the thickness of a typical modern smartphone has ever been an issue. No one asked for that. If anything people end up putting them into thicker cases just so they’re easier to hold. I’d happily buy a slightly thicker phone if it meant it had a bigger battery and a thicker glass screen that is less breakable.
it’s not about any of that. it’s all about social status and that’s all Apple products have ever been. You pay more for less (no pun intended here) because of that Apple logo and the design of the product. And every Apple product is designed and built to be tossed as soon as the next model is released. There are still people to this day that like to gloat that their Apple Macbooks are still working after 3 to 5 years. It’s not something you should be gloating about.
Its also a way that you can show that you’ve bent the knee, just like Tim Cook.
