Quote: "Having both been partially suspended at the 2023 IPC General Assembly for breaches of their constitutional membership obligations, this decision means NPC Belarus and NPC Russia now regain their full rights and privileges of IPC membership, in accordance with the IPC Constitution.

The IPC will work with the two members involved to put practical arrangements in place for this as soon as reasonably possible."

Details: IPC member organisations have first voted against a proposal to fully suspend the NPC Russia, with 111 in favour, 55 against and 11 abstentions.

IPC member organisations then voted against a proposal to partially suspend NPC Russia with 91 against, 77 in favour and 8 abstentions. This means that NPC Russia regains its full IPC membership rights.

With regard to NPC Belarus, the IPC General Assembly voted against its NPC’s full suspension (with 119 against, 48 in favour and 9 abstentions) and partial suspension (with 103 against, 63 in favour and 10 abstentions).
