A “challenging fuel situation” is reported to have occurred in occupied Crimea as videos of queues at petrol stations are being posted online.

Details: Videos posted on social media show cars queuing at petrol stations on the evening of 26 September and the morning of 27 September.

Russian media reports indicate that half of the Crimean filling stations have stopped selling petrol.

Crimea.Realities says that a worsening fuel shortage has persisted for two weeks. It notes that Ukrainian forces have increasingly struck oil refineries this year, intensifying the supply disruption.

The occupying administration in temporarily occupied Crimea has urged residents not to panic buy or take fuel away in containers.

Media reports describe the current crisis as unprecedented in scale.
