Quote: “As for full funding, for example, of interceptors – we have established a strong production system, and we have many Ukrainian companies that know how to make them, but the funding is insufficient. At present, we don’t have enough resources to take the necessary steps.”
Details: Zelenskyy added that Ukraine plans to export surplus weapons in a controlled manner, while ensuring the Armed Forces do not face shortages.
Quote: “As for the issue of controlled exports of various weapons, which won’t cause a shortage for the Ukrainian army – that’s exactly how we’re approaching this matter. The priority is, of course, the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But where we can produce more, and if the Ukrainian army doesn’t need certain items in greater quantities, we can export the surplus.”
Background: On 19 September, Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine will begin exporting part of its domestically produced weapons under a controlled system.
