The limits have been exceeded for a long time, but for the past few months, they have become uncontrolled. The extermination taking place in the Gaza Strip is evident, and nothing is happening.
Neither Mexico nor its Congress can remain silent, regardless of whether it’s left-wing or right-wing. We must recognize that humanity is at risk if we allow all the rules that allow for coexistence to be broken. More than 50,000 Gazan children have died at the hands of the genocidal state of Israel , which uses the pretext of attacking terrorism as a pretext, a pretext that can be used against anyone, against any state, against anything at any time.
And if we don’t react even then, we will have failed as human beings. An infanticide is committed every 45 minutes in Gaza. The malnutrition crisis in Gaza is so severe that it has reached catastrophic levels, and it is now internationally recognized that the entry of food and water to innocent people has been blocked. The images are painful, and even then there is no reaction, no change.
The day before yesterday, the Global Sumud Flotilla, in which there were more than 500 citizens from more than 46 countries, decided to take a step forward for humanity in the face of the complicit silence of governments and the complicit silence of the citizens of the world, who, seeing a genocide that is happening in real time and transmitted by social networks, took action, setting an example for everyone.
The Global Flotilla includes not only Mexican comrades who, bearing the conscience of all humanity, risked their lives and were intercepted in international waters by the genocidal Israeli government.
Mexico, through the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs (SRE), reiterated its call for respect for the physical integrity and safety of the people participating in this initiative, whose sole purpose is to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza.
We can no longer remain silent in the face of the famine being exploited in Gaza by the Israeli government. And if we remain silent in the face of the use of all kinds of media weapons to wipe out a race, to invade a territory that is said to be sacred, then we have lost all traces of humanity.
It is more than necessary to raise our voices, not only to ensure the safety of the members of the Global Sumud Flotilla, but also so that this international law , which has proven to have failed the world over by giving the genocidaire the floor at its highest forum and remaining silent on the victims, finally takes action and puts a definitive stop to this matter.
The President has already spoken out on this matter, and since Wednesday, from the rostrum, I have used my time to denounce once again what is happening, but also to make a call: we cannot remain silent any longer. What are we waiting for? For no one to remain in the Gaza Strip, for the Israeli Prime Minister to get tired?
The former is likely to happen sooner than the latter, and that scenario should be enough to raise our voices.
