I can’t say I was surprised by this story. These kinds of things actually aren’t uncommon for Democrats. Since even though a lot of them suck, even those sucky ones know that seeming like a decent human is good for them personally. This is how politics used to work. But sure let’s just keep on both sidesing this shit ad nauseum
When democrats do bad things: “they’re just like Republicans except worse”
When democrats do nothing: “they’re all neoliberal controlled opposition”
When democrats actively do good things: “never thought they’d have the spine for this”
When Republicans do nothing but solidly evil shit for 50 years in a row: “meh, they’re Republicans. Democrats aren’t much better”
Nah, republicans are objectively shittier. That doesn’t mean democrats don’t have plenty of opportunities.
