Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley has publicly accused the Trump regime of staging a fake ‘riot’ earlier this week in the Pacific coastal state’s biggest city Portland.

Has Trump staged a fake riot in Portland?

According to Merkley, US federal troops marched what appeared to be peaceful protesters down a street, then began firing pepper balls, tear gas and ‘flash-bangs’ designed to imitate gunfire – all while cameras rolled to film the ‘insurrection’ to justify the use of the Insurrection Act and invade the city with the US military in an outrageous but far from surprising abuse of power:

In 1939, Hitler created a false-flag incident designated ‘Operation Himmler’ to justify his invasion of Poland in which concentration camp prisoners were dressed in German army uniforms and killed, then placed near a German radio station on the Polish border. Trump’s deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller has recently drawn on speeches by Hitler’s chief propagandist Goebbels, but it seems like Trump has drawn on SS head Heinrich Himmler’s tactics too.

Trump’s Israeli backers would also no doubt approve.

Israel has a long, proven history of such false-flags to try to achieve political and strategic aims, from the ‘Lavon affair‘ of the 1950 in which it bombed Jewish buildings in Egypt and tried to blame it on Muslim groups, to its air attack on the USS Liberty in 1967 to try to provoke the US into attacking Egypt, to the 1994 bombings in London blamed on Palestinian activists.

Now it may well be shaping up to do so again and, many argue, may already have started with the killing of far-right US podcaster Charlie Kirk earlier this month.
