We are already in a recession. The only reason it doesn’t seem like it is because big tech companies are propping up the economy and making it look better than it is. If the AI bubble popped tomorrow the economy would plummet along with everyone’s investments and retirement funds. When people say “the economy is good” all that means is that the rich are still getting paid. I can barely afford groceries with a well paying 9 to 5 office job and I live in a studio apartment.
Republicans don’t give a shit about you, only if you’re showing up for your survival job at one of their yachting buddy’s companies.
Guess come election time, the USAians better vote on taxing wealth, not work. But they’ll be too busy fighting each other, while the rich laugh, to care.
