    The only motivations a rational person can deduce from the way the Republicans are handling the shutdown is that they either:

    • want health insurance premiums to rise a lot
    • or want the power move of forcing Dems to vote for a Republican bill in exchange for nothing

    I don’t believe in polls. Anyone who still does, after having witnessed the utter shit-show that’s taken place over the last decade, should be evaluated for learning disabilities.
