With the Green Party surging in the polls, they could win numerous seats currently held by Labour. This is now doubly alarming for Keir Starmer, because one of the seats they’ve set their sights on is his own:

The Green Party: storming Starmer
Green Elects is an account which collates data on global Green parties. This week, they highlighted a poll which showed the Green Party had surpassed Labour in one poll:

Speaking on this, James Wright wrote for the Canary:
16% is Labour’s lowest ever rating and should surely be a resigning matter for Keir Starmer. If the party had a left-wing leader, the corporate media and parliamentary Labour party (PLP) would be howling for their downfall.
But any hope of Labour becoming a progressive party again is largely lost. That’s because Starmer changed the rules for leadership elections to ensure that no one from the left can get on the ballot box.
At this point, it would be better for the Greens if Starmer stayed in power. As Green Elects highlighted, his very own seat is among those they could realistically take in 2029:
Based on using Electoral Calculus election predictor, the Greens would gain 47 seats (total 51):

Of course, neither the Green Party nor Polanski are saying they hope Starmer remains. Like everyone else, they can see the damage he’s doing, and they’re leaving that sort of cynical politicking to the Labour Party.
Speaking of the damage Starmer has done, the key reason why the Greens are doing so well is because they’re calling out his “bullshit”:
“Let’s call it for what it is: bullshit. The truth is, politicians have talked about little else but immigration for decades and in the most dehumanising ways.
Polanski added: “Stop the boats’ is all we hear. Well, today I’m saying ‘stop the bullshit’.”https://t.co/Noz6FgAtgz

Glad to hear Keir Starmer is finally making the right decision to attend climate talks.

When Starmer says it’s “Labour or Farage,” remember: you don’t have to choose between fascism and billions on weapons that destroy lives, create tiny amounts of jobs, and enrich those in the Epstein files.

Path to victory
We’re going to say something here the Green Party won’t like.
We don’t think they’re going to take Starmer’s seat in the next election.
Realistically, we think he’ll be forced out before that, and he’ll respond by spitting his dummy out and fucking off to the private sector.
At the same time, we do think they’ll take Holborn and St Pancras.
Labour hold the seat now, but there is no such thing as a ‘Labour seat’, and voters finally feel like they have a choice.
