This always fascinated me from a strictly sociological POV. This even happens in prisons. Hell, being physical and affectionate with your buddies also used to be a thing back in the day across many cultures.

And personally, I’ve also had weird sexual tension with guys who I thought were straight because they were married. Like, they wanted it to be a thing even though I wasn’t interested despite being gay myself. It’s a weird world out there.
