At this point I’ve given up on upgrading to a DDR-5 setup and I’ve chosen to make some minor upgrades to my old setup instead. I’m not willing to pay these bullshit amounts for the same thing that would’ve cost me way less half a year ago.
I’m aware this could hurt me in the long run if prices just keep going up and up but I somehow have a feeling that this AI bubble will burst at some point and that’s going to flood the market with cheap components and hopefully things will go back to (somewhat) normal again afterwards.
