well, i think that’s pretty out of touch to say. gamers don’t care about slop. when done well with some actual thought and care put into it, gamers care a lot about giant open games. idk why you would attribute our fatigue with open world being used a vehicle to create the illusion of content with fatigue with open world itself. games have overall been getting worse as the industry becomes enshittified and milked for every possible cent. that’s what’s causing this.
