The biggest incentive to go for an electric vehicle is the cost of fuel. Economically it’s almost worth taxing fuel just to raise the price.

I was actually just thinking about this. As someone that’s been on the fence about getting an electric car, an ongoing war in the middle east might just be the last push I need. It won’t be ideal (I live in an apartment and can’t charge at home) but everything’s better than being a plaything of these warmongers. The fuel price has already been going up here (Netherlands) and we were already paying 2 euros per liter…

I’d also love to move away from gas heating but our home owner association doesn’t like that either.
