Man the article makes the situation even worse. They BANNED them from being supplied public bus passes as if THAT is the fix.
Parents probably weren’t happy sending their kids on the public bus system (particularly after the kid got murdered) and wants the school district to use school busses like every other school system.
While not knowing the specifics of who raised that motion behind the ban, you very much could be right. Very possible that it was not raised by family/parents.
Yay for inequality!
