This timeline just sounds like a really bad game of Civ at this point.

I used to work closely with a company that would bring over individuals from Manila to work in the States. They would pay them effectively $15 an hour with no uplift for OT. The same job, they would be working with US citizens getting paid starting at $40/hr out of college. Now yes, a 1k a year visa seems pretty cheap for a company to exploit overseas work, but 100k seems like you just stopping the program without stopping the program. That same company is not going to staff up a bunch of 40/hr individuals to make up the difference…

While not knowing the specifics of who raised that motion behind the ban, you very much could be right. Very possible that it was not raised by family/parents.

Man the article makes the situation even worse. They BANNED them from being supplied public bus passes as if THAT is the fix.

If this only applies to Public school again, short lived as it’s this Administration’s MO to completely remove that aspect of our lives…
