I don’t have any issue with a woman Bond, as a man.
I think if I were a woman, I’d be offended that Hollywood doesn’t have the willingness or capacity to invest in a woman-led IP. Women aren’t an afterthought. They shouldn’t be treated like they get subbed-in off the bench after the game is functionally already won to let the real stars hit the locker room early.
That’s how I IMAGINE I’d feel. No way of saying for sure because it’s impossible to truly divorce yourself from your lived experience.
