    They are swapping out five to Republican with this move. Considering that California has indicated that they would flip every single one in that State from Republican, which is nine, to Democrat if Texas did this. This move will overall cost them four Representatives.

    However, all of this moves us even more away from fair representation everywhere. All of this is opposite of what a Democracy should be.

      There’s more red states than there are blue states. If getting into a tit-for-tat gerrymandering competition with Republicans is the Democrats plan then they’re going to lose that battle.

      Edit: I’m not saying it shouldn’t be done, just that it’s a temporary measure at best.
